Montreal based skate crew Dime teams up with Vans for a special collaboration this fall, featuring two colorways and the return of the Fairlane. Anybody who skated in the 1990’s should be familiar with the Fairlane, one of the brands most popular skate shoes of the decade which has been all but forgotten…until now. Dime brings back the chunky Vans model in a tonal icy blue suede colorway with a clear outsole and Dime branding on the tongue. The Old Skool receives a similar tonal treatment, also with a clear outsole, but sticks with more traditional shades of navy and off-white suede. Each shoe also has a puzzling poem about banana puree on the insoles, which we’ll assume is some kind of inside joke.
You can find the Dime x Vans collection at select Vans Skateboarding retailers like Premier today, September 17th, and be sure to watch the hilarious Sunny D inspired “commercial” for the Fairlane below.
